Book Review : Ninety Percent of Everything: Inside Shipping, the Invisible Industry That Puts Clothes on Your Back, Gas in Your Car, and Food on Your Plate

Roes George does a good job in illustrating what the life of a modern seafarer⚓️ is (how hard it is). This is an interesting introduction for those with no knowledge of the matter. She illustrates the total state of lawlessness that government the high water from the shady grecko-liberian shipowners to the Sudanese pirate.💣

I really like the fact that the author embarks on a containership to experience the life on it. We see a clear distinction between the parts of the book directly drawn from this sailing experience and the others. Typically, the part about piracy is a bit slow, too much fact and numbers.

It’s a great book that makes the marine world accessible to all if you are willing to skip few chapters.
