Book Review : Merchants of Grain

This book is interesting in a historical way. It describes the creation of the big trading companies operating in the grain 🌾🌾markets known as the ABCD. A => ADM // B=> BUNGE // C=> CARGILL // D => LOUIS DREYFUS, (back then, we had 2 Cs with Continental and A was André). I like the stories behind the families who build those businesses.
.
I’m not really sure if the book is still relevant, as the market has complete shifted with the emergence of the Asian players 🐲( Cofco, Olam, Willmar, etc…) Furthermore, I found the book a bit boring 😴and not really entertaining, so quite hard to finish frankly.
.
I would recommend the book if you are interested in the history.  But definitely not a must-read.
