Book Review : Commodity Conversations: An Introduction to Trading in Agricultural Commodities

Finally ! “Commodity Conversations: An Introduction to Trading in Agricultural Commodities” is THE book for newcomers👶. When you start to learn a little bit more about the industry, you want to see what’s behind the curtains… But quickly you start to hit a wall! In fact, there is almost no information on about what physical commodity traders do. But the quest is now over ✌🏼thanks to Jonathan Kingsmann and his ✍🏿book Commodity Conversation.
.
The book 📚covers a large spectrum of different subjects altering explanations🗣 and interviews👥. Its construction allows us to see commodity trading from multiple angles. This approach is really well done and gives to the readers a good feeling of the different challenges that the commodity world faces.
.
Through the interviews, we meet a lot of different personalities and jobs. I really liked the ones with Swithun Still, that i’ve been following on twitter @RussianGrainTra for a while! From my point of view, the only interview missing would be the one with a commodity buyer hedging their purchases on a 📈📉future exchange. Then we would have had the view from the 2 sides : the producer 👨‍🌾& the end-user👨‍💼on the exchange
.
To sum up a perfect book 👌🏾to enter in the world of physical commodity trading👏🏻
.
My grade 6/6👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

.

(update 06.21.2019) Mr. Kingsman is writting a new book based on conversation!!!!!!
